We strive to achieve a safe, quality service and for people to experience a good, meaningful quality of life.
Risks are inevitable within a care home setting. The recognition of risks, identifying innovative and creative ways to reduce risks is a fundamental.
Each house/area strives to operate as a family unit. Therefore, there must be the acceptance and understanding that within a large family group risks of infections being transmitted are increased.
A collective, whole home approach to infection control, as laid out in this document, is therefore required to reduce the risks of transmission as far as possible without inducing illbeing in the people we support.
